Terms of Service

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

  • Access — request a summary of the personal data we process about you
  • Correction and erasure — request that we correct inaccurate data or erase data that is no longer needed
  • Withdrawal of consent — withdraw your consent to processing where consent is the legal basis (this may affect your ability to use the Service)
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint about how your data is handled
  • Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of incapacity

To exercise any of these rights or to raise a grievance, contact us at [email protected].

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using UPSC Path ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. For the purpose of these Terms, "we", "our", and "us" refer to UPSC Path. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

3. Description of Service

UPSC Path provides a platform for UPSC aspirants to access Previous Year Questions (PYQs), topper answers, syllabus tracking, and related educational content. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

4. User Accounts and Subscriptions

4.1 Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.2 Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms of Service. UPSC Path operates automated systems that monitor for anomalous or abusive activity, including any non-human behavior on the Service. Accounts identified by these systems may be suspended or terminated automatically, without prior notice.

If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may submit an appeal by emailing [email protected] from your registered email address. Appeals are reviewed on a best-effort basis. If an appeal is upheld, account access and any unused subscription time will be restored.

4.3 Subscription Refunds and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within three (3) days of initial purchase, subject to account usage during that period. Refund requests submitted after this window are not guaranteed and are reviewed at UPSC Path's sole discretion.

Accounts suspended or terminated for violation of these Terms of Service — including, but not limited to, violations identified by the automated detection systems described in Section 4.2 — are not eligible for refunds, regardless of any unused subscription time. If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may appeal as described in Section 4.2; if the appeal is upheld, account access and any unused subscription time will be restored.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues through the end of the current billing period; UPSC Path does not pro-rate refunds for unused time within an active billing period.

If the Service is permanently discontinued, shut down, or otherwise ceases to operate, any active subscription will be refunded in full. Such refunds are not pro-rated: you will receive a full refund of the subscription fee paid for the then-current term, irrespective of how much of that term has already elapsed. We will make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers in advance of any such discontinuation.

4.4 Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, it may take 7–10 business days to be processed and to reflect in your account or original payment method.

4.5 Email Communications

When you create an account, you are subscribed by default to product-update emails (such as tips, new features, and study guidance) and promotional emails (such as offers and plan updates) from UPSC Path. You can opt out of either category at any time from the Email preferences section in your account Settings. Every marketing email also includes a one-click unsubscribe link, so you stay in control of what you receive.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code
  • Access or harvest the Service or its content through any non-human behavior or automated means
  • Subject the Service or any of its content to automated analysis by artificial intelligence or machine learning, whether directly or through any tool, extension, agent or third party. This includes permitting any AI agent, AI-assisted browser, script or integration to access, read, navigate or extract from the Service on your behalf, and uploading or supplying the Service's content, in whole or in substantial part, to any AI model, chatbot, large language model or similar system in order to summarise, analyse, index, train on or generate output from it. Copying an individual passage by hand into such a system for your own private study is not prohibited by this clause. If your account is used in breach of this clause, no refund will be given, including within the three (3) days in Section 4.3
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or resell any part of the Service without permission
  • Share your account credentials with others beyond the limits permitted in Section 4
  • Use the Service to distribute spam or unauthorized advertising

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of UPSC Path or its content suppliers and are protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include:

  • Redistribution or commercial use of the Service or its content
  • Downloading or copying of content for the benefit of another person or entity
  • Modifying or making derivative works of the Service or its content
  • Any use by or with the artificial intelligence or machine learning systems described in Section 5

6.3 Third-Party Content

The Service may contain content from third parties, including topper answers and educational materials. We do not claim ownership of third-party content and respect the intellectual property rights of content creators.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UPSC Path shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues — whether incurred directly or indirectly — or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UPSC Path and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms of Service.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party websites or services. You acknowledge and agree that we shall not be liable for any damage or loss caused by your use of any third-party websites or services.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Service on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or the Service.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
