Notes for the Mains test series

Notes that are too bulky or too brief fail you in a mock test: you remember the headings but not the points. This video builds one structured note on Article 21 and the right to privacy, with an introduction, current affairs, value additions, themes from the PYQs, diagrams and a conclusion, all from UPSC Path search, Learn to Write and CA Tracker Pro.

Steps

  1. Fix the structure before you start: introduction, current affairs, value additions (judgments, constitutional provisions, committee recommendations), a body of themes, diagrams and a conclusion.
  2. Search the topic, here Article 21. The results show its PYQs, themes, introductions, diagrams and current affairs in one place.
  3. Pick the PYQ most directly about the topic, open Learn to Write, and copy the introduction you like best into your note.
  4. Turn each of the other PYQs into a theme: right to a clean environment, right to privacy, DNA testing, passive euthanasia.
  5. Open the current affairs from CA Tracker Pro and read each article's highlights and key takeaways, such as the Supreme Court's arrest safeguards.
  6. Go one level down, here the right to privacy: its own introduction (the Puttaswamy judgment of 2017), then a body from Learn to Write with how the right grew, its challenges, legal safeguards, a way forward and a conclusion.
